Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
In short: your images are edited in your browser and never leave your device. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics, and nothing else tracks you.
1. Your images
Images you open in ImageEditify are processed inside your web browser. Editing, compression, conversion, background removal and export all happen on your device. We do not upload, store or receive your images.
2. Information we collect
You do not need an account to use ImageEditify, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details. We collect anonymous usage statistics as described in the next section.
3. Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and which browsers and countries visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address, device type and the pages you view. It does not have access to the images you edit. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Local storage
When you press Save in the editor, the project is stored in your browser's local storage on your device so you can open it again later. It is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
Apart from Google Analytics, the site loads one external resource: the AI model files used for background removal, which your browser downloads from the content delivery network of the open-source @imgly/background-removal library the first time you use that tool. The provider of that network can see the request (including your IP address) but not your image.
6. Background removal
The background removal model runs in your browser using WebAssembly. Your image is not sent to any external API during this process.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. The only data shared with a third party is the analytics data described in section 3.
8. Children
ImageEditify is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your choices
You can use the site with cookies blocked or with an analytics blocker; the tools will still work. If you have a question about data relating to you, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
